D1-12s SCFL 2011 CHAMPIONS!!!

The D1-12 year old JR. PATRIOTS of SANDY CREEK won the 2011 SCFL Super Bowl Championship 22-6 over their arch rival Blue Devils from Fayette County. The JR. PATRIOTS came in as the #2 seed in the playoffs with the leagues #1 ranked offense and defense. The Blue Devils jumped out to a quick start and a 6-0 1st quarter lead.

After relaxing and getting rid of the championship butterflies the JR. PATRIOTS scored a commanding 22 unanswered points. The Blue Devil offense could never get it going against a tough stingy JR. PATRIOTS defense. "When we do our assignments and play physical, noone can beat us" said defensive coordinator, coach Travis. Offensively the JR. PATRIOTS started off slow but were able to get things going in the 2nd quarter, "They came out with a good defensive game plan. Once we saw what they were doing, we made the proper adjustments and our kids executed to perfection", said head coach Gales.

This is the second D1-12 year old championship in consecutive years for the JR. PATRIOTS program. Coach Early's D1-12 team won it all in 2010. Great job D1-12 JR. PATRIOTS!
